Vascular endothelial factors (VEGFs) are a closely related family consisting of a conserved pattern of eight cysteine residues growth factors which are crucial regulators of angiogenesis and vascular permeability during development and they share common VEGF receptors(1). VEGF receptors induce endothelial cell proliferation and also induce angiogenesis, resulting in increased vascular permeability in both large and small vessels. The mitogenic activity of VEGFs appears to be mediated by specific VEGF receptors. VEGF and its receptors are oncogenic in nature; they help in metastasis and tumor invasion and promotes tumor angiogenesis. Recent progress in understanding the molecular and biological activity of the VEGF/VEGFR system grant us with promising therapeutic approach and target protein molecule in variety of diseases
