Anti-Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) Early Antigen
The Epstein-Barr Virus is the causative agent of infectious mononucleosis and is associated with two human neoplasms, Burkitt’s lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Monoclonal antibody 1108-1 detects the diffuse early antigen of EBV. It specifically recognizes a 55;50 kD protein complex associated with the early antigen of Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). It is recommended that this antibody be used with alkaline phosphatase label only.
