SKU: AN722GP Categories: , ,

CD4 (cluster of differentiation 4) is a glycoprotein present on the surface of immune cells like ?macrophages, T helper cells, monocytes, and dendritic cells. In lymphatic tissue systems, the CD4 positive T cells are found in big numbers in the parafollicular zone, while in the germinal centers and mantle zone CD4 positive T cells are found scattered. CD4 ?marker is expressed on a T-cell subset (helper/inducer) and is found in approximately 80% of thymocytes and in 45% of peripheral blood lymphocytes. CD4 is expressed in the majoritiy of T-cell lymphomas, including mycosis fungoides, lymphomas are CD4 positive with the exception of aggressive NK-cell leukemia and extranoda NK/T-cell lympohoma. CD4 plays an important role in the classification of lymphocytes in inflammatory lesions and malignant lymphomas
