Anti- CD38
Cluster of Differentiation 38 (CD38) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by the CD38 gene on chromosome 4p15. It functions as an ectoenzyme with NAD+ glycohydrolase and ADP-ribosyl cyclase activities and also participates in cell adhesion and signal transduction in immune cells. CD38 is widely expressed on hematopoietic cells, including early B and T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, monocytes, and plasma cells, and plays roles in lymphocyte activation and differentiation. Its expression is high on plasma cells and various lymphoid malignancies such as multiple myeloma, making CD38 a key immunophenotypic marker in hematopathology and a therapeutic target for monoclonal antibody therapies in hematologic cancer.
