Anti-Bcl-6
B-cell lymphoma 6 protein (BCL6) is a zinc finger transcriptional repressor encoded by the BCL6 gene located on chromosome 3q27. It plays a critical role in the formation and maintenance of germinal centers by regulating B-cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and DNA damage responses. BCL6 is predominantly expressed in germinal center B lymphocytes and T follicular helper cells and is involved in lymphocyte activation and maturation. Aberrant expression and chromosomal rearrangements involving BCL6 are frequently observed in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas, particularly diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and follicular lymphoma, making BCL6 an important diagnostic, prognostic, and immunephenotypic marker in hematopathology.
