It uses a non-streptavidin-biotin proprietary micropolymer-complex technology to minimize background staining while providing superb probe detection. The in situ Hybridization (ISH) is a powerful technique for detecting and localizing specific nucleic acid sequences within cells or tissues. This is achieved by the hybridization of a labeled probe to the specific RNA/DNA sequence within the cell and subsequent detection of the bound probe. There are two basic approaches to visualize the DNA or RNA target sequences in situ: chromogenic in situ hybridization (CISH) and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).
